Monster Casino Review 2026: Low Wagering, Weak Player Ratings

Monster Casino is worth a look only if you go in knowing the welcome bonus caps out at £50 from bonus funds and £20 from free spin winnings (both need a £20 deposit per stage), whatever the £1,000 headline says. I score it 2.5/5: the site worked well in my testing, but player reviews are poor and the operator, ProgressPlay Limited, has two UKGC enforcement actions on its record.

The one thing to know before you deposit is that player complaints cluster around withdrawals held in verification. Have your documents ready early and keep your expectations of the bonus modest. I’ve held an account here since 2019 and opened a fresh test account in June 2026.

The headline is a welcome package worth up to £1,000 plus 100 free spins on Starburst, and you need to deposit at least £20 at each stage to get any of it. In practice the most you can convert to cash is £50 from bonus funds and £20 from spin winnings, so the realistic ceiling is about £70, not £1,000. Bonus funds carry 10x wagering within 30 days and spin winnings 10x within 7 days. The offer is limited to five brands in the network, Skrill and Neteller deposits are excluded, and a withdrawal request voids any active bonus. It suits someone who would deposit £20 anyway and sees the bonus as a small extra. It doesn’t suit anyone planning to deposit large sums to unlock the full package. If 10x is new to you, my wagering requirements guide walks through the maths.

Is Monster safe? Licence and regulatory record

Domain monstercasino.co.uk
Operator ProgressPlay Limited
UKGC account 39335 (public register)
Licence status Active (checked 26 October 2026)
Shares a licence with the ProgressPlay white-label network
Regulatory action 9 May 2025: £1,000,000 financial penalty, a formal warning and an extra licence condition requiring an independent audit for anti-money-laundering and customer-interaction (safer gambling) failings (UKGC notice)
Regulatory action 17 May 2022: £175,718 regulatory settlement plus costs for anti-money-laundering and customer-interaction failings (UKGC notice)

A UKGC licence means Monster must verify your age and identity, hold player funds under its stated protection level, offer deposit limits and time-outs, and take part in GamStop. If a dispute isn’t resolved by the casino, you can take it to the independent ADR provider named in its terms. More on what the licence covers in What is the UKGC?

What other review sites and players say about Monster

Source Rating What it shows
AskGamblers CasinoRank 6.8/10 21 complaints: 16 resolved, 5 unresolved, mostly payments
Casino.guru Safety Index 6.6/10 8 complaints: 1 resolved, 3 unresolved, 4 rejected
LCB No page found No LCB page for Monster Casino turned up
Casinomeister No review No Casinomeister review or rating for this casino (site search, 26 October 2026)
Trustpilot TrustScore 1.6/5 204 reviews; withdrawals held in verification is the most common complaint

All figures checked on 26 October 2026. Ratings on these sites change; follow the links for the current numbers. Trustpilot and LCB ratings with fewer than 10 reviews or votes, or for a different domain, are shown but not counted in my score.

The sources split the usual way. Casino.guru (Safety Index 6.6/10) and AskGamblers (CasinoRank 6.8/10) both put Monster Casino in the middle of the pack, while players on Trustpilot are far harsher, with a TrustScore of 1.6/5 from 204 reviews. The complaint themes line up across all three: withdrawals held in verification, bonuses not credited or explained badly, and support that doesn’t move things along. AskGamblers lists 21 complaints, 16 resolved and 5 unresolved, mostly about payments. Casino.guru lists 8, with 1 resolved, 3 unresolved and 4 rejected, and it rates the terms as unfair. LCB has no page for Monster Casino that I could find, so there’s no member rating to add there. Casinomeister has not reviewed Monster: its site search on 26 October 2026 returned no review page, so there is no Casinomeister rating or accreditation to report. I’ll add it when I can read it.

The UKGC record matters here. Monster runs as a white-label brand under ProgressPlay Limited’s UKGC licence (account 39335). On 9 May 2025 ProgressPlay received a £1,000,000 financial penalty, a formal warning and an extra licence condition requiring an independent audit, for anti-money-laundering and customer-interaction failings. In May 2022 it agreed a £175,718 regulatory settlement plus costs over similar failings. Neither action names Monster on its own, but the same licence covers it. One oddity worth knowing: the UKGC domain list shows monstercasino.com, not the monstercasino.co.uk site UK players actually use.

Signing up and testing Monster Casino

I’ve held a Monster Casino account since 2019, and in June 2026 I created a fresh test account to check the new player flow as it stands now. Registration asks for your email, name, date of birth, address and marketing preferences. It took me about 3 minutes from landing page to verified account, which is normal for a UK casino.

What stood out on this visit was speed. Pages loaded quickly and the game lobby filtered without delay, a clear improvement on my 2023 test. That matters more than it sounds on a site you might come back to over several sessions, especially if you’re working through wagering on a staged package.

I’ve left out my older notes on claiming the first-deposit spins, because the package was structured differently when I tested it and the numbers no longer match the current offer. The current terms are in the offer box above.

Monster Casino games and live casino

Monster Casino has 2,000+ games from Pragmatic Play, Microgaming, NetEnt, IGT, Red Tiger and Evolution Gaming. That’s a broad mix, and you won’t struggle to find the big-name slots most UK players look for. The welcome spins, which need a £20 deposit per stage, land on Starburst, which is a steady, low-drama choice. It won’t produce huge wins, but it’s easy to understand and suits clearing a small amount of spin winnings at 10x.

The live casino is well stocked, with several live blackjack variants, immersive roulette and a full set of game shows. I played live blackjack in June 2026 and both the stream quality and the dealer’s responsiveness were strong.

One practical point if you’re playing with bonus funds: game contributions to wagering vary, and the bonus is only available on selected games. So check the contribution list before you sit down at blackjack expecting it to clear your wagering.

Monster Casino payments and withdrawals

Monster Casino accepts Visa, Mastercard, PayPal and Skrill. The minimum deposit is £20. For my June 2026 test I deposited by Visa, and my withdrawal was processed in 24 hours. PayPal withdrawals are also available, and in my experience at similar UKGC operators they’re usually quicker than card, though I didn’t test PayPal here.

Two things to watch:

  • Skrill and Neteller deposits don’t qualify for the welcome bonus. Use a card or PayPal for any deposit you want a bonus on.
  • A withdrawal request voids active bonuses. If you’re part-way through wagering and ask for a cash-out, the bonus goes.

My own withdrawal went through cleanly, but I can’t ignore what other players report. The most common complaint on Trustpilot is withdrawals held in verification, and AskGamblers says most of its complaints are about payments. My advice is dull but useful: upload your ID and proof of address before you ask for your first withdrawal, not after. For a wider comparison of how UK methods behave, see my guide to UK casino payment methods.

Monster Casino on mobile and customer support

I tested Monster Casino’s mobile site on Android using Chrome. It’s reliable: games load quickly and the layout scales properly to a phone screen. There’s no dedicated app and you don’t need one. The live casino works well on mobile too, and you can adjust the stream quality, which helps on a patchy 4G connection.

For support, I used live chat in June 2026 with a question that actually matters on a staged package: is the 10x wagering applied to the combined balance, or to each bonus stage on its own? The reply came in 3 minutes 30 seconds, and the answer was correct. Each stage is wagered independently, not combined.

That’s worth knowing before you start. It means you can’t bank progress from one stage against the next, so if you only want one stage of the package, claim that one and stop. It also means a half-finished stage can expire on its own 30-day clock while you’re playing another. A short, accurate chat answer like that is what I want from support.

Monster pros and cons

Pros

  • 10x wagering on bonus funds and spin winnings, within the UKGC cap
  • 2,000+ games, including a well-stocked Evolution live casino
  • Visa withdrawal processed in 24 hours in my June 2026 test
  • PayPal accepted for deposits and withdrawals
  • Live chat gave a correct wagering answer in 3 minutes 30 seconds

Cons

  • Max conversion of £50 from the bonus and £20 from spins makes the £1,000 headline mostly theoretical
  • £20 minimum deposit at every stage of the package
  • TrustScore 1.6/5 from 204 reviews, with withdrawals held in verification the top complaint
  • Operator ProgressPlay received a £1,000,000 UKGC penalty in May 2025
  • Skrill and Neteller deposits are excluded from the bonus

Is Monster worth joining? My verdict

Monster Casino is a UKGC-licensed ProgressPlay casino that I score 2.5/5. It works well on the surface: in my June 2026 test the site was quick, live blackjack streamed cleanly, a Visa withdrawal was processed in 24 hours and live chat answered a wagering question correctly in three and a half minutes. The welcome package of up to £1,000 plus 100 Starburst spins needs a £20 deposit per stage and carries 10x wagering, but cash-out is capped at £50 from the bonus and £20 from the spins.

It suits a player who wants a big game library and treats the bonus as a small extra on a deposit they were making anyway. The main caveat is trust: player reviews are poor, complaints centre on withdrawals held in verification, and the operator received a £1,000,000 UKGC penalty in 2025 for anti-money-laundering and customer-interaction failings. On the same platform, Vegas Mobile scores higher with me because its complaint record is cleaner. You can see how I weigh these factors in my review methodology.
