Choosing the right payment method at a UK casino affects how quickly you receive withdrawals, whether your bank sees the transaction, and whether you qualify for certain bonuses. This guide covers every major payment method available at UKGC-licensed casinos in 2026, based on my own testing.
PayPal
Best for: speed, privacy, and convenience. PayPal is the most popular payment method at UK online casinos and the one I use most in my own testing. Key advantages:
- Deposits are instant
- Withdrawals are typically processed in 2–24 hours — faster than any card or bank transfer method
- The casino sees only your PayPal email — your bank account and card details are never shared with the casino
- PayPal only partners with UKGC-licensed casinos — if a casino accepts PayPal, it is licensed

Visa and Mastercard Debit
Note: credit card gambling is banned in the UK. Since April 2020, UKGC-licensed casinos cannot accept credit card payments for gambling. Only debit cards are permitted. Visa and Mastercard debit are accepted at virtually every UKGC casino.
Deposits are instant. Withdrawals take 1–5 business days depending on your bank. Some banks decline gambling transactions — if your Visa debit deposit is declined, contact your bank about blocking rules.
Skrill and Neteller
E-wallets that work similarly to PayPal — instant deposits, fast withdrawals (typically under 24 hours). One important caveat: many UK casinos exclude Skrill and Neteller deposits from welcome bonus eligibility. Bank Transfer
Suitable for large withdrawals — typically no upper limit. Processing takes 3–5 business days and may require additional identity verification for large amounts. Not the right choice for regular small deposits/withdrawals but useful for withdrawing large balances.
Paysafecard
