How BonusBobcat Tests UK Casinos

Every casino listed on BonusBobcat goes through the same process before I publish a review or recommendation:

1. Registration

I create a real account using my own details. I note how long registration takes, what information is required, and whether KYC is requested upfront or deferred to withdrawal. Casinos that require address verification at registration — rather than at first withdrawal — score better in my assessment because it means less friction when you want to cash out.

2. Claiming the Welcome Bonus

I claim the advertised welcome offer exactly as a new player would. I note whether bonus codes are required, whether the activation is in the cashier or automatic, and whether the bonus appears correctly in the account. If a bonus doesn’t work as advertised, I flag it — and I don’t recommend the casino.

3. Playing Through the Wagering Requirement

I play through the wagering requirement on the advertised games. I note which games contribute at 100%, which are excluded, and whether the wagering tracker in the account is accurate and up-to-date. The January 2026 UKGC 10x cap has changed this significantly — casinos offering 10x are now genuinely rewarding to review because the requirements are realistic.

4. Withdrawal

I submit a withdrawal and record the time from request to funds received. I note whether any additional documents are requested, whether there is any friction in the process, and whether the stated processing times match reality. A casino whose stated “24-hour processing” takes 5 days gets marked down regardless of how good the welcome offer is.

5. Customer Support

I contact live chat with a genuine pre- or post-registration question and record the response time and accuracy. Support tests are always conducted without identifying myself as a reviewer.

6. Mobile Testing

I test on both iOS (Safari) and Android (Chrome) for every casino I review. Mobile performance is tested for game load times, live casino stream stability, and cashier functionality.

Review updates: Casino offers, terms, and quality change over time. I review each casino at least once every six months and update pages when material details change. The “last tested” date at the bottom of each review reflects when I most recently tested that casino with a live account.

Negative reviews: I publish honest assessments including when casinos fall short. Slow withdrawals, poor support, or misleading bonus terms are reported accurately. I maintain a blacklist of casinos I believe UK players should avoid.

Responsible Gambling

Gambling should be entertaining. If it stops being that — if you’re chasing losses, gambling with money you need for other things, or finding it difficult to stop — please use the resources available to you.

Every casino in BonusBobcat’s UK section is UKGC-licensed and GamStop-registered, so a single GamStop registration excludes you from all of them at once. GamStop does not cover the casinos in the separate offshore section — those operate outside UK regulation and cannot be blocked through GamStop. If you are self-excluding, that difference matters.
