UK Casino Payment Methods: Deposits, Withdrawals and Real Timings

The way you pay at a UK casino affects how quickly you get a withdrawal, whether you qualify for the welcome offer and whether you pay fees. This guide covers the payment methods at UKGC-licensed casinos, using the cashiers of the 18 casinos I review and the withdrawals I have timed myself. Where a figure is the casino’s published range rather than something I timed, I say so.

PayPal

PayPal is the method I use most in my own testing, because it gives the cleanest timing data. Deposits are instant, and the casino sees your PayPal account rather than your card or bank details. The fastest withdrawals I recorded in 2026 were all by PayPal:

PayPal is not quick everywhere. Online Casino London publishes 1 to 3 business days for PayPal withdrawals, and when I tested Betmaze, every request sat in a 48-hour pending period before taking 2 to 4 business days. One fast withdrawal is also one data point: in several cases I had completed identity checks at sign-up, which helped. My PayPal casinos page lists the UK casinos that take it.

Visa and Mastercard debit cards

Visa and Mastercard debit cards are the most widely accepted method at the casinos I review, and a debit card is the safest choice if you want a deposit to qualify for a welcome offer. Deposits are instant. Withdrawals are slower than PayPal:

• At Monster, my Visa withdrawal was processed in 24 hours (June 2026).
• At Betrino, mine took 2 days against a published 1 to 3 business days (May 2026).
• At MogoBet, mine took 3 business days, with no extra documents because I had done the checks at sign-up (June 2026).
• Published ranges elsewhere are 1 to 3 business days (HotStreak, Jackpot Mobile, Vegas Mobile, Blue Fox) or 3 to 5 business days (Great Britain Casino, WinoMania, SpinzWin, Online Casino London).

Some banks decline gambling transactions or let you block them. If a debit card deposit is declined, check your bank’s settings before trying again.

Can you use a credit card at a UK casino?

No. Since April 2020, gambling businesses in Great Britain must not accept credit card payments for gambling. The rule covers online casino and bingo, online betting, lotteries paid online or by phone, and high street bookmakers, casinos, bingo halls and arcades.

There is no way round it through an e-wallet. Operators must make sure that money from a wallet such as PayPal or Skrill was not itself loaded from a credit card, so topping up a wallet by credit card and depositing from there will not work. The only exceptions are not casino play: lottery tickets and scratchcards bought in a shop alongside non-gambling items, and lottery tickets paid for by post.

Skrill and Neteller

These e-wallets work much like PayPal, but there is a catch. Skrill and Neteller deposits do not qualify for the welcome offer at Betrino, SpinzWin, SlotSite, MogoBet, Monster, Vegas Mobile and Blue Fox. Deposit with one of them and the bonus will not credit. Betmaze is the exception among the ProgressPlay casinos: its casino offer terms do not exclude them. If you want the offer, use a debit card or PayPal for that deposit.

For withdrawals, Online Casino London publishes 1 to 3 business days for Skrill and Great Britain Casino 3 to 5 business days. I have not timed a Skrill withdrawal in 2026.

Trustly and Pay by Bank

Trustly moves money directly between your bank account and the casino using Open Banking, without a card or e-wallet. Among the casinos I review, Royal Valley takes it for deposits and withdrawals, and Betmaze listed it when I tested. At Betmaze, Trustly and bank transfer withdrawals took 2 to 6 business days after the 48-hour pending period.

Apple Pay

Apple Pay is quick for deposits because you confirm on your phone, but it is not widely offered at the casinos I review: Betmaze was the only one to list it when I tested. Check whether a casino can pay withdrawals back to it before you rely on it, or plan to withdraw by another method.

Paysafecard

A prepaid voucher you buy in a shop, useful if you do not want to link a bank account to a casino. It is deposit only: at Great Britain Casino and Online Casino London you need another method to withdraw. Check the bonus terms before using it for a qualifying deposit.

Pay by mobile

Some casinos let you add a deposit to your phone bill. Royal Valley offers this through Fonix, for deposits only and with a 15% fee, which makes it a poor choice. You will need another method to withdraw.

Bank transfer

Bank transfer is the slowest common option, but useful for larger withdrawals. Published times are 3 to 5 business days at HotStreak, WinoMania and Online Casino London, and 5 to 7 business days at Great Britain Casino. Larger withdrawals by any method are more likely to trigger extra checks.

What about cryptocurrency?

None of the 18 UK casinos I review accepts cryptocurrency. Ignore any listing that calls one of them a Bitcoin casino. BonusBobcat does not cover crypto casinos.

How long do UK casino withdrawals take?

My timings are from single withdrawals between May and July 2026. Published ranges were checked on 26 October 2026. Processing times can change, so check the cashier.

Fees, limits and why withdrawals get held

• Fees. Royal Valley charges £1.50 on withdrawals under £30. Casino.guru notes possible withdrawal fees at Jackpot Mobile and Online Casino London, and Great Britain Casino says fees may apply on some methods. Check the cashier before you request a payout.
• Minimums and caps. The minimum withdrawal is £10 at most of the casinos I review. When I tested Betmaze there was also a £7,000 monthly withdrawal cap.
• Identity checks. UK casinos must verify who you are, and may ask for proof of address, a bank statement or proof of where your money comes from. Withdrawals held during these checks are a recurring complaint about several casinos I review. Upload your documents early, before you have a balance you want to take out.
• Bonuses. At the ProgressPlay casinos, a withdrawal request cancels any active bonus. Finish or abandon the wagering first.

UK casino payment FAQs

What is the fastest withdrawal method at UK casinos?

In my 2026 testing it was PayPal. My fastest PayPal withdrawal was processed in under 4 hours at HotStreak, and most others took under a day, though some casinos publish 1 to 3 business days or longer.

Can I use a credit card at a UK online casino?

No. Gambling businesses in Great Britain have not been allowed to accept credit card payments for gambling since April 2020, and you cannot get round it by loading an e-wallet with a credit card.

Do Skrill and Neteller deposits qualify for UK casino bonuses?
